Hi everyone! I am currently teaching Fifth grade at ANCA. I only have 3 students but i have quality over quantity! They are all wonderful kids and very smart. The following is what we did today - Reading: I gave a post test for our spelling list. I gave the meanings of the 20 spelling words then dictated sentences in which they had to insert the correct word. Math - I gave a test on yesterdays lesson "Roman Numerals". Suffice it to say, we need some more work on this subject!For Social Studies, We started on Unit One "Early inhabitants of the USA". We focused on types of native Americans and how they interacted with the land. Science - We reviewed pages 8 & 9 in the student book and then examined pages 10 & 11 "Nitrogen" , which continued our study of natural cycles. For Bible class we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The children studied various verses from Proverbs and reiterated their commitment to read their Bibles every day.
