Lyrics:
Come with me, and we will fly together,
to a place, where we can love forever,
Take my hand, and we will see tomorrow,
only joy, and no more tears or sorrow,
A love I never knew, until I found you,
I promise that I do, believe that dreams come true.
Miracles will be, look at you and me,
heaven helped us to, believe that dreams come true.
Instrumental Break
In this moment, filled with deep emotion
hold me tight, you'll feel my true devotion.
A love I never knew, until I found you,
I promise that I do, believe that dreams come true.
Miracles will be, look at you and me,
heaven helped us to, believe that dreams come true,
believe that dreams come true.

American Conception of Honesty
By
Glady G. Doty & Janet Ross
One
does not have to be in a foreign country long before he notice differences in
custom. If one is in Caracas and it starts to rain, he notices that suddenly
the streets are deserted. Everyone goes into a nearby coffee shop and has a
chat during the shower a very sensible procedure. The rain will be over in
fifteen minutes. Why go out and get wet? To a North American or an English man
this seems like a queer procedure at first, but the longer he lives there the
more sense it makes. Similarly, one learns not to walk through the Plaza
Bolivar weighted down with parcels. It is considered disrespectful to the
liberator.
Of
course it is much easier to pick up the superficial customs that to understand
the deep seated attitudes and motives behind the customs. Yet such an
understanding helps a student to interpret what he sees and keeps him from
concluding that everyone in the foreign country is irrational or impolite. In
certain aspects of collage life, students will find that understanding American
attitudes will be of help them. For example, in college classes a higher value is
placed upon efficiency and directness of expression than on certain forms of
politeness that are observed in other countries. If a professor asks students
whether they have understood an explanation he has given, he wants a straight
forward yes or no. While he expects respect from his students, he does not
except them to say yes for that reason when the answer is clearly no. Nor does
he expect them to say yes for fear that they acknowledgement of lack of
understanding would show that they are not smart. In fact, an American
considers an answer given for one of these reason as somewhat dishonest, rather
than polite. Another college situation in which American standards of honesty
are of first importance is examinations. The student is expected to give his
answer without consulting any other person or referring to any book, notebook,
or other written material. The
professor wants to see how much of the material the student has mastered, to
form an estimate of his ability. Loyalty to a friend in need, as expressed by
helping him out of a difficult spot by supplying him with answers to the
question is considered dishonest rather than admirable. American professors
fell very angry and betrayed if a student cheats on a test they are giving. So
strong feeling that one should do his own work in an examination that many
colleges have serve penalties for cheating.
Differences in belief about honesty exist
in the market place also. In an American store a fixed price is generally set
for an article. The storekeeper will not sell for less than the state price. There
is not the exciting adventure of bargaining that goes on in many other
countries. In an American store one has
the choice of purchasing for the stated price or not buying the article. The
American generally thinks it is dishonest for a seller to set a original price
that he knows is too high. “If he was going to sell it for five dollars, why
didn’t he say so in the first place?” says the American. However, there are
some types of merchandise and try to buy it for less than the advertised price.
In certain social situations absolute
honesty is not practiced. If a fellow’s girl friend asks “How do you like my
new hat?” and he thinks look terrible, absolute frankness would not be tactful.
He will try to give an answer will not hurt the girl feelings, by saying
something like ”Blue is my favorite color.”

Jhn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus spoke about two peaces; the first piece was the peace the world gives. Let’s look at a quick example of “world peace.” The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that was signed on June 28th 1919 and ended the First World War. The treaty was signed by Germany and the Allied Powers. This treaty was never really enforced and gave rise to Nazi Germany and World War II. Jesus spoke about a second kind of peace, a heart-settling, no fear kind of peace that works from the inside out. The peace that the world offers you is not even worth the paper it is written on, but the peace Jesus offers is one that will remain with you for this life and the one to come. Which peace do you long for this day? A permanent which lasts forever or a provisional piece of paper that does not give peace, but ends up in pieces.
Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Have you ever considered that man is the only inhabitant on planet Earth who is at war with God? You have never seen a raccoon for instance shaking its little fist at God and saying “I hate you.” You have never seen a plant shaking its leaves and saying “why did you let this happen, God.” No the battle on planet Earth is strictly between us humans and our Creator. But wait! The scripture says we can have peace with God “having been justified by faith” through Jesus Christ.
It’s as if Jesus acted on our behalf and negotiated a peace treaty with God, the Father. This treaty is forever and never again will there be a shot fired from either side. Now that’s a treaty we can depend on and rest in.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father may I surrender all my weapons of war to you and may I experience the wonderful Peace of God which is not just for now but forever. Amen
Rom 14:19 Therefore let us pursue the things [which make] for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
What do you find yourself chasing after? This scripture says to chase after things which make for peace. Would let’s say money fall into that category? Those who chase after riches usually find that the only thing to chase after is more riches. The rich man is not satisfied with his first million but he pursues the second. What about fame? A star usually can only maintain his stardom for a couple of years at best only to be replaced by a new star. That will not do it. There are eternal things which can be pursued like friendship and the giving of oneself to benefit the lives of others. It is these things that make the chase of life worthwhile. Check out what you are chasing after and see if it will have eternal meaning and better the lives of others. That race will never disappoint you.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, help me this day to pursue things which make for peace and make other lives shine. That is the race I wish to run. Amen

1Cr 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Did you ever have one of those days? You know the telephone will not stop ringing. There is utter mayhem and chaos at the office. The employees are at each other’s throat and one crisis follows another. And this all occurs before lunchtime. Be certain of this one thing. God did not orchestrate the day to go this way. We have other agencies at work to fluster and frustrate us. We have an enemy that knows exactly which buttons to push to cause misery and heartache along the way. If you can remember this one verse amidst the chaos and confusion of those days, then maybe just maybe you can turn the day around to the glory of our God in heaven. God is not the author of confusion he did not write the book on the subject he did write the book on peace. You can choose which book signing to attend the author of peace or confusion. Your choice may literally save the day.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, help me to go to the right author on days that seem out of hand and find your peace awaits. Amen
Forgive and Move On (Part 1)
Scripture Verses: Matthew 18:21-35
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 NASB
To make the most of this day, we must forgive those people who have hurt us in the past. Too often, we try to collect our debts from other people. When somebody hurts us, we feel like they owe us. Somebody should pay for that pain we have suffered! That’s how you feel when you’re trapped in the past. You’re always trying to collect those debts. You’ll even hurt other people even though they weren’t the ones who hurt you.
I have met some women who ruin their relationships others because they were mistreated by men when they were growing up. Now, every time they get into a new relationship, they try to make that new person pay them back for the old hurts caused by others. They’re trying to collect debts they feel are owed to them.
But here’s the problem: Only God can pay those debts; other people can’t do it. Moreover, you should not drag the hurts from your past into your relationships today. Don’t punish your spouse, your children, your friends, or you coworkers for something that happened to you when you were growing up. Instead, turn the hurts over to God. Forgive those who hurt you. Keep your heart free from bitterness and resentment. And don’t try to collect debts that only God can pay.
Key thought: Don’t try to make others pay for hurts that God has already paid for.
Forgive and Move On (Part 2)
Scripture Verses : Matthew 18:21-35
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 NASB
Start each day anew, especially in your family relationships. Don’t let little hurts build up. Don’t hold on to unforgiveness and resentment. Don’t allow bad attitudes like: Well, she’s not treating me nicely today, so I’m not going to talk to her. Or, He’s not being very kind; I’m going to ignore him.
Such small rejections may not seem important to you, but over time, those bitter thoughts will build. And they’ll cause major problems. You’ve got to keep your own heart free and clean, because if you’re poisoned with unforgiveness or bitterness, soon it will show in your behavior. You cannot keep it buried. You’ll be easily offended and negative.
That’s why the Bible tells us to put on a fresh new attitude every morning. Each morning, forgive the people who have hurt you. Each morning, receive God’s mercy and forgiveness for the mistakes you’ve made, and forgive others for hurting you. Today focus on what you can change. Don’t focus on what you cannot change.
What’s done is done. If somebody disappointed you yesterday, either you can get bitter or you can forgive them and move on. Remember, if you refuse to forgive others, God will not forgive you. Move on, knowing that all things are going to work together for your good.
I’m not saying that you should take the easy way out. You are responsible for your words and actions. If you have done wrong, you should seek that person’s forgiveness. But if you’re trying to fix something that you know can’t be fixed, you must simply leave it up to God. Receive His mercy and follow Him today as you best know how.
Key Thought: If you refuse to forgive others, God will not forgive you.
